Join James Simons Montessori and the Marsh Project for our Spring Community Cleanup! 🌱

Calling all James Simons families! We've teamed up with the Marsh Project and Keep CHS Beautiful to make our neighborhood sparkle.

Saturday, April 27, from 10 AM to noon, we're cleaning the streets and having a good time.

We've got all the gear to turn you into a trash-buster. Gloves, vests, pickers, and bags – consider yourself armed and ready for action.

Sign up for your preferred time slot - we've divided the mission into manageable half-hour shifts.

See you there, ready to make James Simons and the Marsh Project proud! 🌍✨

Spring Fundraiser 2023

The Friends of James Simons presents “Class Act” for our 2023 spring fundraiser. Enjoy an evening of food from Hometeam BBQ and 26 Divine, beverages, music from The Black Diamond Band and prizes. We are raising funds to strengthen our extracurricular activities.

Community Clean-Up - RESCHEDULED to Oct 15

Meet at JSM on Moultrie Street to join the Community Clean Up Fundraiser where we will work together as a community to raise funds for James Simons and make our city shine! In 2021, we collected 1548 lbs of trash with 90 family participants and cleaned over 205 acres of public space!

  • Family Participation (Suggested $20/family donation/participation fee) includes choice of designated clean-up location, trash bags, grabbers, vests, and gloves plus one event t-shirt at check in. (Additional t-shirts are available for $15 purchase.) Sign up with QR code below.

  • Business Sponsors ($250 cash/check; $255 via Venmo/PayPal for fees) receive litter clean up around their business, media coverage, and event t-shirt. Contact Jenn Parezo

The school will hold it in the vault until all payments have been collected, and then we will get them over to our FoJS treasurer, Lindsey Sakran.

ITTY BITTY LITTER COMMITTEE

In an effort to teach our children about having pride in our community and not littering, children can join the IBLC and commit to a yearlong effort to pick-up litter wherever they see a need! Each member will receive a free button badge for their participation!
